Dr. John Mulqueen

As a pediatrician in Gardner, MA, Dr. John Mulqueen has a positive impact on his community. However, it wasn’t until his wife and a speaker at a local church inspired him to participate in a 2001 medical trip to Haiti that he realized what a far-reaching difference he could make. For 13 years, he has returned to Haiti at least once a year, treating thousands of impoverished people without access to proper medical care. His service led him in 2006 to create Forward in Health, a non-profit organization with a mission to bring basic healthcare to the people of Fondfrede, Haiti, and to expose Americans to their plight.
